Afternoon light

With only a day to go until my first final I've been spending far too much time at my desk. Whilst I can't say I'm too fond of revision itself, I do enjoy the way in which it leaves you noticing the smaller things about your surroundings. For instance the way the afternoon light caught these pine cones on my desk. Happy Wednesday!

Busy busy busy

With so much revision to do at the moment it feels as though I never leave my desk. I say feels as though, working 13 hour days I essentially don't.
I did however take a much needed break today to make one of my favorite lunches - a poached egg on toast and smoked mackerel on a bed of peas topped with some baby salad leaves. Beautifully simple but utterly delicious.

Finally

A belated happy Easter. Spring finally seems to be on its way. After endless cold and dreary days the sun has made an appearance and I love it! The parks are full of happy smiling people and everything just seems that little bit easier.
